Rick Perry, Governor of Texas
Governor Rick Perry is the 47th governor of Texas, an office he has held since 2002. He has led a life of public service, starting in the U.S. Air Force and continuing over two decades in elected office. His administration has focused on creating unlimited opportunity and prosperity for Texans by improving education, securing the Texas border and increasing economic development. He is an advocate of local, county, state and federal law enforcement efforts and has worked to decrease crime in key areas of Texas by more than 60 percent. Governor Perry is a graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, and an Eagle Scout.
Sally Struthers, Actor and Activist
Sally Struthers is an actress and activist, known for her roles in television, particularly that of Gloria Bunker Stivic, the daughter of Archie and Edith Bunker (played by Carroll O’Connor and Jean Stapleton respectively) on All in the Family, for which she won two Emmy awards. She is also known for playing Babette on Gilmore Girls. Struthers also is widely known for her work with Save The Children, advocating on behalf of impoverished children in developing countries.
Tom Leppert, Mayor of Dallas
Mayor Tom Leppert was elected mayor of Dallas in 2007. As mayor, Leppert has pursued polices to improve the quality of life in Dallas, including reducing crime rates by double digits, encouraging business development, improving education and a move to make Dallas one of the top sustainable cities in the country. Prior to becoming mayor, Leppert led major corporations in the areas of construction, financial services and real estate. A lifelong community volunteer, he has served on numerous community groups and charitable organizations on both local and national levels. Mayor Leppert is a graduate of Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, Calif., and has an MBA from Harvard Business School in Boston.
